Informing Smart Health Decisions (I-SHD) was established in Summer 2008 as a health news service providing locally relevant health information to media outlets throughout the state and beyond. Under the leadership of Glen T. Cameron and Jon Stemmle, I-SHD operates with assistance from strategic communication graduate students from the Missouri School of Journalism with backgrounds in professional journalism or public relations.

I-SHD is funded by Health Literacy Missouri and based in the Missouri School of Journalism.
